This species is made up of 5 geographical varieties that formerly
were considered separate species.

'BLUE ICE' The Blue Ice Cypress. The intense silver blue foliage
is superb. Old stems have an attractive, very smooth cherry red to mahogany-
brown thin peeling bark. This selection is also more wind tolerantand much
hardier than the species. Fantastic selection! We always sell out of this gem.

GOLDEN PYRAMID' This new cultivar has extremely nice golden colored
foliage with the same excellent habit as C. arizonica `Blue
Ice'. Brilliant! Limited availability. A very nice selection!

Macnabiana Macnab Cypress
Intermediate |
Broad/Upright |
Zone 6 |
This Cypress was introduced by W. Lobb to Veitch Nurseries UK, in 1854. It has nice shiny dark blue-green foliage with dark reddish-brown and scaling gray-brown bark on old selections. The foliage when brushed against has a pleasant and very fragrant odor that is similar to a sweet honey-citrus. They do exceptionally well in a dry location but do not tolerate wet feet. It is a nice disease-free, long-lived tree and the ones I saw in Hungary are quite hardy, at least zone 6.

Please prune the dwarf Blue Spruce to return to the top.
